3 New Moisturizers I’m Trying

One thing I love about tossing a product into my “empties” bag is the freeing of space in my beauty routine to try something new. My moisturizer stash has seemed to run out all at once recently, so right now giving these three new products a whirl:

  • Soap & Glory The Righteous Butter: Designed with shea butter and aloe vera to soften and hydrate, this stuff is the REAL DEAL for dry skin. I’ve found my favorite way to use it is on my feet – after running around barefoot all summer my heels are dry and calloused and in serious need of some TLC. I slather on The Righteous Butter, and paired with a thick pair of socks to lock in the moisture, it’s a lifesaver! I want to note that this cream does have a very strong fragrance – pleasant, but strong – so if you are sensitive to scents, check this one out in store first. P.S. How cool is this customized jar with my name? Soap & Glory surprised me with this in the mail, what a cute idea! Thanks S&G!
  • Shiseido Benefiance WrinkleResist 24 Intensive Eye Contour Cream: Although I haven’t been using this product very long, I can already tell I’m going to LOVE it. Formulated with hyaluronic acid and hydroxyproline, this eye cream is designed to treat (and prevent) signs of aging around the eyes. The consistency is quite thick – which I usually avoid in eye creams because I feel like they can make your eyes look puffy – but this one looks and feels great on my skin.
  • Tarte Maracuja Neck Treatment: I’m always on the lookout for a good neck and chest cream. The skin in the décolleté area is thinner and more sensitive, so it tends to be one of the first areas to show signs of aging – anything that keeps it at bay is something I want to try! Tarte’s Maracuja Neck Treatment is formulated with their signature maracuja ingredient, which has vitamin C and essential fatty acids to firm, brighten, and smooth skin. It also contains sodium hyaluronate and algae extract to hydrate, repair, and renew the skin. So far I really like this one, we’ll have to see if I notice any changes after repeated use!

Are you trying any new moisturizers at the moment?

If you haven’t tried Tarte’s VitC eye cream, you must next. I am on my second jar already and it has been wonderful. It absorbs really quickly and does not leave your skin greasy. Plus it has your favourite vitamin C :) Your eyes will appear to be brighter and smoother. It has no scent (if any it’s hardly there)

  • Katie Badger

My go-to moisturizer is the Origins Ginzing moisturizer. It’s so lightweight, and it packs in the moisture, but it’s not heavy duty, which is great for my skin type (combination-oily). It’s also not slippery or silicone-y feeling, which I get from a LOT of moisturizers. The best part? It smells like oranges! It’s my favorite!

I saw Soap & Glory in London but never got the chance to try it, although I’ve only heard good things. I think I’ll have to check it out! And such cute packaging too :)

I got a sample of the Ole Henriksen Sheer Transformation moisturizer from Sephora, and so far it’s pretty good! I don’t notice a huge change in my skin or anything, but it feels light and it does the job :) My favorite, though, is still Origins GinZing moisturizer!

I love Soap & Glory products. They are hydrating without being greasy. Also if you haven’t tried Tarte’s eye cream, it is fantastic!

I recently got myself a jar or The Righteous Butter and it is AMAZING! Such a shame I can’t get it in The Netherlands, so I need to use it sparingly
