I love a faux glow, but one of the things I’ve always disliked about facial self tanners is the added layer of product on my skin. By the time I’ve applied a serum, eye cream, and moisturizer, I don’t really love layering a tanning cream over the top… it’s just too many layers! For years I’ve bit the bullet and used creams anyway, but when I came across the Clarins Radiance-Plus Golden Glow Booster a month ago, I knew I had to try it.
This product is a concentrated, “made-to-measure” self tanner for the face. You simply add a few drops to whatever moisturizer you are applying to make it a self tanner too. Genius, right?! I love the concept, because now I can add this to my day cream, night cream, whatever, and concoct the perfect level of faux glow I desire! I put some cream in my palm, add a few (I usually use three) drops of Golden Glow Booster, mix well, and apply to my face and neck. After a few uses, it builds a subtle, natural looking glow. This product isn’t for dramatic color, but more for an everyday use. The bottle is very small, but I only need drops at a time, so it has taken me a while to even make a dent. Note: this is NEVER to be used by itself. Oh dear, that would be a nightmare! It is very concentrated.
I give this product an A+ for a natural, light self tanner. I love that no matter what cream I decide to use on my face, I can add a few drops of this and mix it in, AND adjust the level of tan I want. I highly recommend it.
The Clarins Radiance-Plus Golden Glow Booster retails for $30 and can be purchased wherever Clarins products are sold.
