In the spirit of Easter, I decided to do something I haven’t done in YEARS: dye and decorate some eggs. This is something I always loved doing as a kid, but because plastic eggs filled with candy were always more appealing hunt and basket-wise, real egg decorating was eventually pushed aside. So this year I spent Saturday afternoon of my Easter weekend playing around with egg decorating, and I tried something I hadn’t before: a metallic paint pen. How had I not thought of this sooner?! It was super easy, and the result was awesome. I thought I would share some photos of my “metallic Easter egg” project (and a special throwback Easter photo) with you guys.
Here I am on Easter back in 1991, just under two years old. Some of my fondest memories of my earlier childhood are shopping with my mom to pick out a special dress for Easter Sunday. We did it every year, and it usually involved a combination of ruffles, lace, bows, and floral print. I have about seven years of Easter photos in these types of dresses, until I got to the age where I no longer dug the super girly frilly outfits, haha!
Hope you guys are having a great weekend
