I’ve had a lot of requests over the last year to do an updated MAC palette overview, so I thought I would do a little series! I love peeking at other people’s MAC palettes, the colors they have and the way they organize them, it’s been a weird fascination of mine ever since I discovered the blogging world.
Back when I started wearing makeup, MAC was the first brand I really got into. I loved that it offered such a variety of products and shade options, and I instantly fell in love with the eyeshadows – especially all of the fun, limited edition collections! I use my MAC eyeshadows more than any other brands (except maybe Urban Decay), so I’ve built up a pretty solid stash over the years. Here is a look at my light neutrals palette!
I have a lot of favorites in this palette. I alternate between Phloof! (cool), Shroom (neutral), and Nylon (warm) for shimmery highlight shades, as well as Blanc Type for a matte highlight. I love Naked Lunch, Jeté , and All That Glitters for frosty all-over lid colors – I’ve gone through several of Naked Lunch and ATG over the years and they remain some of my favorite eyeshadows ever. Grain is also wonderful for a neutral lid color.
If you aren’t familiar with the MAC palette system, you can magnetically store eyeshadows and blushes inside these palettes to create a custom selection of your own. MAC stores sell the eyeshadows in pan form already, but you can also depot anything you have in plastic casing and stick a magnet on the back. The palettes are sold in two parts, the overall palette case and the inserts customized for the product you’re using (in this case, the 15-pan eyeshadow insert). I find that this method of storing saves a lot of space and c’mon, it’s just plain pretty to look at! Do you have any light neutral favorites from MAC?
